Nordic eMarketing puts in its two cents

The Search Engine Ranking Factors Survey, by Rand Fiskin and his team at SEOmoz, is a biannual study which often predicts future Google search algorithms with amazing accuracy and the results document is a useful tool for anyone in the internet marketing field.

This year our own Kristjan Mar Hauksson was chosen to be a part of the group of 100 leaders in organic search engine optimization around the world to take part in the Survey.

Kristjan was included for his specialisation in Internet marketing and online reputation management and communication.

Inclusion in the survey is a small but pleasant recognition for Kristjan and Nordic eMarketing. It comes as unofficial (and unverifiable!) proof that the company is one of the hundred global leaders in its field.

Yahoo! Web Analytics (aka Indextools) version 9.5 is out

Finally Dennis and his team and Yahoo Web Analytics bring out a new version and I can say that Yahoo! Web Analytics has been significantly enhanced since the last release, Indextools version 9.

Search Marketing Expo, SMX London is next Monday

I have arrived to London to do the SMX, Search Marketing Expo, spoke at the International Search Summit last Thursday and I am now going to spend the weekend with my wife in London and the take on the every growing SMX, chaired by my good friend and mentor Chris Sherman.

I am looking forward seeing Brian Fetherstonhaugh, Chairman and CEO, OgilvyOne Worldwide as the keynote and the program looks great. For more information check out

Is Big Mouth Media in trouble?

I was reading a blog post at Dave N’s blog in regards of one of the big guy’s on the Internet Marketing market being in trouble at Google or as David says “This could be anything thing from a simple technical issue or a full blown homepage ban in Google.” I have not investigated this fully myself but the little tests I did seamed to indicate that Big Mouth is facing some kind of a penalty.

How ever when I do these tests again things seam to have corrected themselves, this goes to show that patience is the best tool in the world of Internet Marketing and when I test “search engine optimisation” at Google UK they are number three, with only Wiki and Google News beating them and Google News are likelly none-sticky results. gives me some 4000 pages indexed at Google and the screenshot shown by David N looks ok when I look at it this evening.

Let’s see what happens over the next day’s, however the damage has been done in the massive coverage this has had and I am curious to see how they use one of the services they are heavilly promoting these day’s Online PR to distribute their message.

Customer feedback changes SMX London

Search Marketing Expo or SMX is again held in London on 18 and 19 May at the New Connaught Rooms, Covent Garden. SMX has changed its agenda in response to recent customer feedback. The now-even-better conference will bring together professionals doing online marketing from all over the world later this month. This is a must go-to conference that you need to attend if you are seriousin gaining online success. Nordic eMarketing has a speaker there, Kristján Már Hauksson will be doing speaking on online corporate communications and online PR.
