iFront, conference to be noticed if you are going to southeast Europe

iFront is a conference managed by Nenad Stanojlovic in behalf the Serbian consulting company owned by visionary Vladimir Milisavljevic. Nordic eMarketing was lucky enough to get an invitation to fly over and speak about the topic of search marketing with focus on the region the conference is held at.

With guests in the close to 100 guest including the Serbian Minster of Telecommunications who opened the conference there we good speakers from both local companies and International companies like Nokia and Nordic eMarketing. This is a conference that will be worth noting in the future and should help the Serbians enter the world of Internet marketing. With around 7.4 million inhabitants only 3.3 million are Internet users, Serbia still has a long way to reach the likes of the UK, Denmark, Norway or Iceland. But still is doing much better than many of their neighbouring countries.

Speaking at SAScon in Manchester

At the SAScon (Search – Analytics – Social Media Conference) Great set of speakers and the venue looks fantastic! Just saw TouTubes Bruce Daisley talk about the impact and possibilities of Youtube and now watching a session called “Black Hat/White Hat – Does it Matter Anymore?”.

Interviewed at State of Search

Great to meet Bas van den Beld as always and congratulations to him on State of Search!

The question of a white hat or a black hat

Just came from a session at the SES called Black hat/White hat “Unconferenced” hosted by Matt McGowan, Publisher & head of U.S. Incisive Media and Mike Grehan, Global VP Content, SES/Search Engine Watch and ClickZ (believe they are merging). Everyone that came to this session was offered a white hat or a black hat to wear, in my case I got the black.

Not that I am a black hat in the sense that I use under the radar none ethical tactics when marketing online, nobe more because that the size of the black hat fitted my head better. Great session that taught me black hats have bigger heads than white hats or that Matt and Mike did not order enough hats for people with big heads, either way fantastic session and great fun!

SES NY Big Sites & Big Brands Site Clinic

Doing the “Big Sites & Big Brands Site Clinic” session with Dave Nylor later to day. That is only going to be fun! Those that know David know that he is not only a very bright guy but really funny and so the least straight forward. Anne Kennedy will be holding us back. One of the things covered will be competitive link intelligence for selected sites.

Internet Marketing Conference, Reykjavik Iceland

rimc.isReykjavik Internet Marketing conference is just around the corner with speakers from Ericsson, Bing/Microsoft, Anomaly, CCP games and Icelandair to mention few. In its 6th year the conference is going to be bigger than ever, attracting a wider audience on an international basis. Some 40 – 50 companies are expected to show their Internet related products and services.

SES New York the mother of the mother of all conferences RIMC

Reykjavik Internet Marketing Conference (RIMC) was actually born out of me not having the budget to go to SES New York in 2000 or 2001. Now some ten years later hundreds of guests from over ten countries have attended RIMC and the next event looks very promishing with around 200 attendees, some 15 speaker from companies like Ericsson, Microsoft, Anomaly, Icelandair and CCP games to mention few.

I am myself speaking at Search engine strategjes in NY on two sessions and it looks like it’s going to be a great event

Just saw Paulo Maranhao from Microsoft do a great presentation on the MSN PPC tool

Just saw Paulo from Microsoft do a great presentation on the MSN PPC tool, the tool as before intergrades beutifully into Excel 2007 (not 2010 beta) and in minutes he gathered over 1000 very valuable keywords regarding flowers. Fantastic tool that can be found at letsearchmakeyousmarter.com (Microsoft Advertising Intelligence). Speaking at this session beside me are:

Thomas Bindl, SES Advisory Board & Founder & CEO, Refined Labs GmbH
Constance “Connie” Stack, VP, Sales & Marketing, WordStream
Paulo Maranhao, Search Media Strategist, Microsoft

The session was firmly moderated by Andrew Goodman, SES Advisory Board & Principal, Page Zero Media.

Speaking at SES London on a session about PPC tools

seslon10_HearMeSpeakkmhSearch Engine Strategies (SES) is one of the oldest conferences in the field and highly respected as such. Spoke on this conference couple of times before and it‘s great to be invited again. The topic is very dear to me as we do PPC for some of our clients at Nordic eMarketing.

Some of the questions that this session should be addressing are, are there tools attendees could be using right now to help get better conversions, lower costs, or save hours of time in work? The short answer is yes, the longer one is that you will need to come to SES to see more.
